About

The seventh presentation of the Tofino Jazz Festival will be taking place from June 26th to 29th 2025.  This 4 day music celebration will bring many different colours of jazz to Tofino. The Festival’s main mission is to provide an opportunity to build community through music: music for the whole community; for all ages; and in venues including free outdoor events.

The Festival also has the mission to introduce youth to jazz music and to give them opportunities for their first professional experience performing as musicians. The Tofino Jazz Festival is a multi-cultural celebration mixing different genres and cultures while providing  growth in the arts.

The Tofino Jazz Festival is produced by Sophie L’Homme a professional singer from Montreal that has been living Tofino for the last 9 years. She studied jazz at University of Montreal for 4 years and pop singing at University of Quebec for in Montreal for 3 years. Sophie sang in a jazz trio for many years in Montreal, performing in a wide variety of venues and events. For the last six years, she has been the director of the Tofino and Ucluelet choirs. Over 80 adults sing with Sophie every week. Twice a year they produce sold out concerts in the community halls of both communities. Sophie also started a singing group of 20 young singers called the Pacific Rim Girls Choir.  On top of all her singing activities, she created the Tofino Jazz Festival and manages the Clayoquot Sound Theatre.
